new critters

It seems like I haven't posted in a while..So much has happened...Sad to say we lost the rosecomb bantams..I will miss them..but life must go on..

I have decided to just focus on my bantam cochins, and try and get back into raising them

So I have started back with these blue/splash ones

Two are blue and the rest are splash is color I have 6

the first hatch of muscovey babies

I have had several hens setting thru the summer as well,...and kept those chicks

just  few that I have hatched out in the incubator

Have added a couple more duck breeds to the farm
                                              Khaki Campbell and Cayuga

A few of the hens have taken in those I have hatched in the incubator

I have also added a few Maran's chicks to the flock for next year...As well as a pair of Silkie/frizzle crosses...so I will try and get some frizzles back into my flock of cochins

A few of the ducks I kept back ( muscovey)..Plus added a few to my flock for next year

Then I added two new animals to our farm

Thanks to my oldest who is moving out of state and couldn't take these two with her...
yes that's right to adorable goats....the one by me is a faint/dwarf cross doe( female) and the one in the background is the Buck( male) is a dwarf.....
I would like to add more...their personality ..specialty the buck...
I am learning so much about these two I have started another blog...Goat learner... Where I am sharing my adventure in owning goats...
These are just a few I have added on the farm

New Pup....

Yes that's right New puppy since we lost our beloved Bandit...we was looking for another heeler or maybe aussie or a border collie.......
Then again camo girl was wanting something smaller...We gave away her beagle , he was gun shy and would nt work out for her hunting rabbits with him....and he seemed to like the taste of chicken and duck....so we gave him away to a family with a little boy....

I have been looking on craiglist about every day...all of the pups that we thought was cute was either to far away or not in our budget......

Then during the weekend i just happened to be at wally world and someone was giving these pups away....Part Heeler( mostly heeler)...and part mountain cur( father -in-law raises these...)...and i fell in love with one....

Who could resist this face....

or look at this cuteness
